Electric Bike Rebate

Colorado E Bikes » Electric Bike Rebate

Colorado is implementing a statewide e-bike rebate program available to low- and moderate-income Coloradans. Residents will apply for the program prior to buying an e-bike. Those receiving a rebate will need to buy the e-bike from a participating retailer. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for e-bike retailers who sell any class of e-bike per the State of Colorado e-bike definition. This includes electric assisted bicycles equipped with motors that provide assistance…

Class 1

…only when the rider is pedaling, up to a speed of 20 mph

Class 2

…regardless of whether the rider is pedaling, up to a speed of 20 mph

Class 3

…only when the rider is pedaling, up to a speed of 28 mph

Three wheel E-bike

Other e-bike eligibility requirements:

  • Has two or three wheels and fully
    operable pedals.
  • Electric motor is 750 watts or less; may
    not be gasoline-powered.
  • Full-suspension mountain bikes
are not eligible for this rebate.
  • Maximum prices: $5,000 for e-bikes and
    $8,500 for e-cargo bikes
  • E-Cargo bikes are eligible but must have
an extended frame designed to carry
    additional people or cargo.
